General Maintenance Corporation is seeking a hands-on, Working Construction Foreman to lead field operations across gas station maintenance, exterior branding, and repair projects. In this role, you will lead a crew on-site, drive team operations, perform hands-on installation and repair work, and serve as the main point of contact between field staff, site managers, and corporate leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership & Supervision: Guide, direct, and work alongside a crew of painters and laborers to ensure daily tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

  • Site Operations: Transport crew members from the main office to work sites using a company truck. Interact directly with site managers or owners to review scopes of work.

  • Execution & Quality: Perform and oversee routine tasks including commercial painting, canopy and panel installation, decal application, and gutter/deck pan repairs.

  • Safety & Equipment Operation: Enforce job site safety standards, maintain hydration/rest protocols in varying weather conditions, and operate equipment including scissor lifts, power tools, and ladders.

  • Reporting & Administration: Track daily attendance, log task completion, take project progress photos via smartphone, and report site updates to supervisors.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work Setting: 90% outdoor work under gas station canopies in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk continuously for 5.5–8 hours daily, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and bend/kneel without restrictions.

  • Required Attire: Steel-toe boots, jeans, and company-provided ANSI Class 2 reflective shirts.

Qualifications

  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus to communicate effectively with field crews and office staff.

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with basic construction methods, commercial painting, and using power tools (drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws).

  • Equipment Knowledge: Basic understanding of operating scissor lifts and working safely from ladders.

  • Soft Skills: Strong decision-making, active listening, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities on-site.

  • Tech Requirements: Personal smartphone required for accessing time tracking applications, email/texting, and capturing job photos.

  • Education: Open to candidates regardless of high school diploma status; practical construction and leadership experience is prioritized.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay with overtime eligibility (Non-Exempt status)
